A Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis) leaves his morning perch on a barbed wire fence near the Guadiaro River in Southern Spain. An original native of Spain, the Cattle Egret is most often found accompanying cattle or other large mammals, since it feeds on insects and small prey disturbed by these animals.
