Nigella damascena, a member of the buttercup family, is commonly called Love-In-A-Mist for its delicate blooms surrounded by wispy, fennel-like leaves. It is also called Devil-In-A-Bush, Love's alter ego, referring to the horned seed pods and dried, cage-like leaves that envelop the pods once the plant stops flowering.
