A wind turbine towers over a field in Tarifa, Spain, the southernmost town of Europe located 8.5 miles north of Morocco, Africa across the Straits of Gibraltar. Tarifa, widely regarded as "The Wind Capital of the World," is an established area specific to wind farming as numerous wind turbines have sprouted up across Tarifa's farmlands.
